Frequently asked questions

What Kind of massage do you offer?

We specialise in on-site massage (also known as chair massage or corporate massage). We serve clients in London Zone 1-4 locations, indoors, in offices, small conference rooms, conferences or wherever the occasion arises.

Do I need to remove my clothing for an on-site massage?

No. All our services require you to remain fully clothed during the massage.

How much space does a massage therapist require?

For chair massage we can set up in your conference room or another quiet room that is about 2 x 2 m.
For at home massage we require 3 x 2 m for the massage bed.

How long does a chair massage take?

It depends on the duration of your event. On-site massages (chair massage) usually last between 20 and 25 minutes each. This includes a 5 minutes sanitisation and aftercare.

Do you ever provide table massages?

Yes, we provide at home massages on a massage bed. These are full body massages and are longer treatments ranging from 60-120 minutes per person. You just have to prepare 2 x 3 m space, 2 large and 2 small towels. Everything else we will bring!

Do I need to tell my therapist about any physical restrictions?

Yes. Please notify the massage therapist of any physical ailments, disabilities, allergies, pregnancy or if you are taking any medication.

What areas do you cover?

We cover a wide range of areas in London, between zone 1-4. Please check if we cover your area here.

Is there a “best time” for a massage?

Massage has been shown to provide benefits regardless of the time of day.

How does on-site chair massage work?

The client is fully clothed and seated in an ergonomically designed massage chair. These chairs most often slope forward allowing access to the large muscles of the back. On-site massages usually last between 20 and 25 minutes each.

What kind of massage techniques do your therapists use?

Our therapists are skilled in a variety of different techniques, such as the following:

  • Swedish is a gentle massage intended to help the client relax and improve circulation.
  • Acupressure Point helps release hyper-irritable points in muscle tissue.
  • Deep Tissue releases the chronic patterns of tension in the body using elbows and forearms and deep pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the grain of muscles, tendons and fascia. It is called deep tissue because it focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue.
  • Stretching to help with the flexibility of the muscles and range of motion.

Do you provide services for non-corporate events?

Our specialty is corporate chair massage, but our therapists provide on-site chair massage for any occasion, as long as our four-hour minimum, hours involved, safety of our therapists and other terms, such as payment in advance, are met.

I have never experienced a massage. What should I expect from one?

It’s an amazing experience. You’ll feel invigorated, rejuvenated and restored to a state of balance.

I loved the massage I received! How could I send feedback?

There is nothing we love more than hearing from our satisfied customers. You may contact us directly at [email protected], or let your event coordinator know you want Zen Space back in your office.
